About Our Founder and Principal - Sheila M. O'Connor, MA, OTR, CAPS 

Sheila has a sincere passion to enhance the quality of life for her clients and has done so throughout her multiple decade career as an Occupational Therapist (OT). She embraces the opportunity to assess client’s unique needs, combined with the physical home environment, and identify solutions that enable individuals to maximize their ability to function in a supportive and safe fashion. Applying her knowledge and hands-on experience, Sheila provides an individualized proactive approach to enhance independence today while mindful of future physical, sensory, and cognitive ability changes.

Sheila is a member and licensed in several National and State organizations, Certified Aging in Place (CAPS) specialist, as well as served on Boards such as the Universal Design Institute (UDI). She is a respected educator, author, and engaging presenter at professional conferences and custom trainings. Her favorite pastime is singing and playing old time music with members of The Log Cabin Band. You may have seen her perform around town at various festivals.
